This is going to sound like a rather easy question to answer, but please do! :) im wanting to do a trip to europe this coming summer, and i was wondering about youth hostels. ill be 17 the first month of the trip, but ill be turning 18 in August. are youth hostels in europe only open to people 18 and older? if so, what are other cheap options? also, do youth hostels accept cash or would i need a credit card?
ps, im mostly curious for contries such as poland, austria, france, italy, possibly belgium and definitely switzerland :)
pps, how cheap is it to travel from one country to another? busses/trains etc
