Have any of you booked hotels through yeego.com before?
My brother’s girlfriend booked a hotel in Paris with them and is planning on booking one in Venice, but she’s suddenly wary because the Venice deal seems too good to be true. I suggested that she should contact the hotel in Paris to confirm that they’ve received her reservation. But pending that, i would greatly appreciate feedback if any of you have dealt with them before.
Oh and this is a bit of a long shot and probably better suited for Australian-related communities. but are there any Aussies here who’ve used the ANZ Travel Card (Pound or Euros)? Was it any good? It seems that the fees are much cheaper than using the normal ANZ card, which is why i’m considering it.
Thanks!
yes I have used the ANZ travel Card in Euros. It worked perfectly fine.
A tip is to make sure you put all the money you want to put on that card in one go, because the first time you put money on it, it doesn’t cost you anything. Any time you transfer more money on it, it costs you a certain percent.
I had no problems accessing the money in paris!
I’m not Australian, but I worked at a tourist sight in London and saw a lot of people using the ANZ travel cards and none of them ever had a problem going through.
Please just remember to sign the back of the card! (This may be obvious to you, but I swear, the number of people who don’t sign their credit cards and then get all offended when you ask for photo id, may astound you!)
I looked at the ANZ card before I left for Europe (returned last week) and it seemed okay however I was only taking $1,500 with me so I just took cash.
In Italy the maximum allowable cash withdrawal limit from ATM’s was Euro 250 so if you think you’ll need more cash than that for anything then remember to do it over a couple of days.
thanks for the ATM tip! i wonder how much it is in the other countries i’ll be visiting, i’ll have to check that out so i don’t get caught short.
I use booking.com for hotel reservations in Europe. They have actual reviews by actual people, which I find very helpful. Don’t know anything about Yeego you referred to, though.
