Me again :o)I almost feel like the good people of this community are planning this trip for my wife and I. So thanks again for everyone’s help.
My wife and I are going to be in England and Germany from 11Dec to 27Dec and we’re looking at spending the 15th through the 17th here
http://www.hotel-mueller.de/index.php?id=68 Munich and Salzburg seem to be the biggest cities we could either fly or catch a train into. Now here’s where your help is needed. We could book one of the really cheap fares through Ryan Air id offering right now into Salzburg and then train into Munich and then into Hohenschwangau or a flight on Easy Jet into Munich. The flights are obviously the more direct and convenient way to go, but if we’re over on our allowed weight for our luggage (we’re both going to have decent size backpacks)our cheap flight could get a bit pricey I assume. Our other option is the entire trip by train. According to www.raileurope.com we could take a train from London into Paris and then another one from Paris into Munich. The train route seems to take around 8 hours and will roughly be about $464 round trip for the both of us. She has this romantic idea of seeing the country side by train and this would definitely provide that. We wouldn’t have to worry about overage for our luggage and it may be a relaxing way of travel for us.
Any thought?
