Ticket Query

Next year I’m planning on going back to Europe for a month. I have 2 ticketing options;

1- Brisbane to Paris return + Paris> Amsterdam> Athens> Paris by eurotrain or flights (Ryan Air etc)

2- Around the world ticket to fly Brisbane> Paris> Amsterdam> Athens> Brisbane.

Am i right in assuming the later would be better?
