I’m taking a flight from London Gatwick to Amsterdam next week. Does anyone know much about the train station beneath the Amsterdam airport (frequency of service, etc.)? I’ll be looking to recover from jet lag, so I’m thinking of delaying a stay in Amsterdam and recooperating in a smaller dutch city–any suggestions of a place/hostel that might be good for more sleeping than vigourous sightseeing? (It doesn’t have to be dull–just a little more low key). Finally, looking for Amsterdam hostel recommendations–particularly those that are easy to book on short notice.
