Hi,
I’m a college student who wants to travel to Sweden nad possibly Norway next summer, probably early July.
Since I’m a student, I need info for traveling as cheaply as possible in Europe. Any info is appreciated.
I have a ton of questions, as I’ve never been to Europe.
Is it cheaper to fly into Copenhagen vs Stockholm or other places in Sweden itself? Is there a ferry or bus or train going from Copenhagen into Sweden?
Or where is generally the cheapest place to fly into in that region?
What is the best way to find cheap hotels in Europe? What does everyone think of the youth hostels over there? OK, or possibly dangerous?
I will most likely be alone, so any safety tips besides rather obvious stuff are appreciated.
Best way to get around since I am not old enough to rent a car? IS the bus or the train system better? Taxis?
Is there anything normal in America that’s insulting in Sweden that I should avoid doing?
Is there anything in America that’s hard to get in Sweden that would be a good gift to get someone?
Anything else I should know about Sweden? And traveling to Europe in general?
The cities/towns I’m looking at investigating are Kungsangen, Stockholm, Goteborg/Gothenburg, Norrtalje, and Spanga in Sweden, and possibly Copenhagen, Denmark and Nesgrenda, Norway. Can anyone recommend any interesting museums/sites to check out in those areas?
Thanks a ton!!!
