OK, I hope it isn’t too much of a stretch to call the Canary Islands part of Europe…
I’ll be passing through for a couple days in October. Flying in to the Gran Canaria airport, then getting on a ship at the port of Las Palmas (and a month later, doing the reverse).
Has anyone been there? Any must-see things in the city? Favorite places to grab a bite? Local foods I need to check out? I don’t know yet how long I’ll be there, likely not more than a day on either end of my trip, but I’d like to experience the culture as much as I can in the short visit.
Also, my Spanish is minimal. So, I guess take that into account in any recommendations.
