hey everyone, i will be in greece for the last two weeks in september (i can’t wait!!) and i’ve got a question for you all about the ferry boats from piraeus to the islands. everything i’ve read has said that the ferries are pretty unreliable and that it’s best to just get a ferry ticket the day you plan to travel. from personal experience, does the un-reliability apply just to the regular ferrys or to the high-speed boats and hydrofoils as well? i’ve also noticed that tickets can be purchased online for some companies (for the high-speed boats). has anyone done this? any problems?
also, i will be in athens, naxos, santorini and crete (based in chania, but i plan to definitly have at least a motorbike when i am there). any suggestions, things to see/avoid, etc would be much appreciated!
