Hello :) I am studying abroad in Geneva this fall, and it is my first time leaving the states. I have quite a few questions about making the most of this experience!
1. I think it’s pretty typical of most study abroad programs, but my classes are only M-Thurs and don’t even begin until late in the day on Monday, so I will have plenty of time for traveling. I would really like to check out some cities with great architecture, museums and nightlife. (At least for the beginning of my trip.) I’ve been told it’s probably best to keep rural traveling for the end/maybe even my second time to Europe. Does anyone have any suggestions?
2. My tuition includes a 2-month Global Eurail pass. I’ve been reading up on the Eurail but I haven’t seen many tips other than that I should almost always reserve a seat unless I’m traveling within a country. Any other pointers?
3. Is it difficult to travel to places not included on my Eurail pass? I’ve seen a lot of people discussing flying… if I wanted to go to Morocco or maybe Turkey, what is the best way to go about doing so?
I’m sure I’ll have plenty more questions but thank you so much in advance!! And I apologize if these questions are redundant.
